One of my favorite gigs ever was “food and dining expert” for VisitFlorida.com, the state’s tourism site. I traveled all over Florida doing stories on food and food culture. These links take you to videos about places that inspired me. I conceived the stories, wrote the “scripts” (little though they are), arranged the interviews, the sources and then hosted each video. Miles Media edited and produced the final product. I had so much fun eating as many oysters as I could at Apalachicola’s Florida Seafood Festival; eating stone crab claws on the dock, just hours in from the Gulf, cracked open with a big fishing hook right there; dining in the open air at Paradise Farms with Outstanding in the Field; and participating in a cooking class with Michelle Bernstein at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo.

I have also done some of my own video work while covering events, such as the Almost Famous Chef Competition.<p><a href=”http://vimeo.com/3350641″>Judging the Almost Famous Chef Competition</a> from <a href=”http://vimeo.com/user1026654″>Barb Freda</a> on <a href=”http://vimeo.com”>Vimeo</a>.</p>
